Who we are

Kitchen Closed is made by A3 Studio L.L.C-FZ (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the Kitchen Closed app and getkitchenclosed.com. If you don’t agree to them, please don’t use Kitchen Closed. Reach us at support@getkitchenclosed.com.

Using Kitchen Closed

You need to be at least 13, or the minimum age where you live. Kitchen Closed is for your own phone and your own habits: don’t use it to lock someone else’s phone.

What the lock can and can’t do

Kitchen Closed works through Apple’s Screen Time on iPhone and an accessibility service on Android. You stay in charge of your phone: you can turn off its access in Settings or delete the app at any time, and the lock ends when you do.

It can’t cover every way to order food, like a phone call, a computer, or an app you didn’t lock. It also relies on Apple and Google, whose systems can change or fail. It helps you stick to your own hours; it can’t guarantee you won’t order.

Kitchen Closed Pro

Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play, as a weekly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, at the price shown before you buy. Payment goes to your Apple or Google account.

The weekly subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the week ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; deleting the app doesn’t cancel it. Lifetime is a single payment for Pro for as long as we offer Kitchen Closed.

You can restore Pro on a new phone signed in to the same Apple or Google account. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. If the price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal, never before, and your store tells you first.

Keys

Keys are consumable in-app purchases, sold through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown before you buy.

A key unlocks your locked apps for a set time during the hours you set: 15 minutes for 1 key, 30 minutes for 2, an hour for 3. Each extra unlock in the same week costs double the one before, up to 8 times the normal price, and the count resets on Monday at midnight. With strict mode on, keys can’t be used during the hours you chose, and strict mode can’t be turned off until your apps unlock.

Spent keys are gone, even if you lock your apps again early. Keys have no cash value and can’t be transferred. They live only on your phone, so unspent keys can’t be restored after you delete the app, or on a new phone unless you move the app’s data across.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Except where the law says otherwise, purchases are non-refundable. We may change pack prices, or how many keys an unlock costs, in future versions of the app.

Money kept is an estimate

The money Kitchen Closed says you kept, and your Sunday receipts, are estimates based on what you told the app a usual order costs. They aren’t financial advice or a record of real spending.

Not medical advice

Kitchen Closed is a tool for a habit around ordering food. It isn’t medical, nutritional or psychological advice or treatment. If eating or food feels out of your control, please talk to a doctor or another qualified professional.

Fair use

Don’t use Kitchen Closed to break the law, don’t reverse-engineer it or tamper with purchases, and don’t use it to harm anyone.

Our stuff

The app, this website, the Kitchen Closed name, the closed sign and the receipt design belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app. They don’t give you our brand.

Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub and other names belong to their owners. Kitchen Closed isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Apple and Google

If you downloaded Kitchen Closed from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, alongside these terms. Apple and Google aren’t responsible for the app or its support.

Ending things

You can stop using Kitchen Closed any time by deleting it. We may change or stop offering Kitchen Closed, or parts of it, for technical, legal or business reasons. The parts of these terms that should outlast that, such as keys, disclaimers, liability and governing law, do.

Disclaimers

Kitchen Closed is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard on it, but we can’t promise it will always work.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of Kitchen Closed. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes go to the courts of the UAE, except where your home country’s consumer law gives you rights that can’t be signed away. These terms don’t affect those.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and say so in the app before the change applies. Using Kitchen Closed after that means you accept them. Questions: support@getkitchenclosed.com.
